Adfed Suncoast Accepting Entries for American Advertising Awards
AdFed Suncoast is accepting entries for the annual American Advertising Awards from now until Jan. 20.
The American Advertising Federation conducts the American Advertising Awards, formerly known as the ADDYs. It is the industry's largest competition, attracting more than 40,000 entries every year.
The mission of the competition is to recognize and reward excellence in the art of advertising. The local advertising club phase is the first of a three-tier national competition. Entry in the local competition is the first step toward winning a national award.
Last year, AdFed Suncoast celebrated seven national winners, all of which were local students. Two of the student projects won a national gold award, the highest merit possible in the national category. Adfed Suncoast also celebrated 21 professional category District awards, including Best of Arts & Sciences and Best of Public Service. Visit ADDY Central at adfedsuncoast.com for more details about how to submit.
Have a piece that didn’t quite make it to production? Want to showcase individual members of your creative team? Submit your work to the first annual Suncoast Creative Awards competition. This year, AdFed Suncoast is proud to introduce a series of local categories to our competition. The Suncoast Creative Awards are designed to highlight areas of achievement important to our local creative community that are not covered by the traditional American Advertising Awards. Winners of Suncoast Creative Awards aren’t eligible for district or national awards, but do receive local accolades from the industry at large.
AdFed Suncoast is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the art and business of advertising through professional education, legislative efforts and community service. AdFed Suncoast is a local chapter of the American Advertising Federation’s Fourth District, which consists of nearly 1,500 members in 23 local chapters throughout Florida and the Caribbean.
AdFed Suncoast meets regularly, hosting speakers on various industry topics. Membership is open to anyone in Sarasota and Manatee counties involved in advertising, media, communications and creative services.
