The mission of Children First is to strengthen children and families by improving the quality of their lives through a comprehensive approach to development, education, health and well-being. Children First is the exclusive Head Start/Early Head Start provider for Sarasota County, serving hundreds of children and their families at 15 locations across North Port, Sarasota, and Venice. Our agency ranks in the top 1% out of 1,800 Head Start programs nationwide and has been designated as a coveted Program of Excellence four consecutive times.
